Special Projects: A Selection
Library projects vary according to the chagim, curriculum, seasons and rhythms of school life. Below are examples. We love new ideas and are eager to hear yours!
To the left is a photo taken and submitted by an MTA student for our Annual Fall Photo Contest last October. Winners are now displayed in the library. We hope you enjoy them, as we thought that they were all superb!
The Joseph Alexander Library is here to help give every MTA student the tools and support to succeed academically and personally. Individuals and groups are scheduled to work with Ms. Lewis, who is part of the Learning Center team. Any student can drop in during a free period for help in any academic subject or project.
Library Sponsored/Co-Sponsored Clubs: The MTA Literature Club, Arabic Club, Computer Club, High School Historical Society (HSHS), Library Squad.
Hosted Clubs include: Debate Team, Torah Bowl and Chess Club and ESU Shakespeare Competition.
Speakers and meetings abound, from Physics project presentations to Honors College, alumni gatherings and Names, Not Numbers speakers and filming. The Honors College meets regularly in the library.
We gratefully appreciate our partnerships with ARISTA this year, particularly during the Book Sale for Haitian Relief. We also give special thanks for those parents and students who gave us the priceless gift of time. Watch for more tzedakah opportunities this coming fall!
