Mrs. Hana Matiteyahu – Hebrew
Mrs. Hana Matiteyahu serves as a Hebrew instructor at YUHSB. She has previously taught at Abrams Hebrew Academy, Akiba Hebrew Academy, and Solomon Schechter High School of New York. She has also taught Hebrew and Tanach at supplementary schools in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Matiteyahu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Philosophy from Bar Ilan University, and a Masters of Arts and Jewish Education from Gratz College, where she graduated with honors. In 1996, Mrs. Matiteyahu developed a curriculum for teaching about Jerusalem in supplementary schools for CAJE in Philadelphia. She received her Teacher’s License, Level A, from Auerbach Central Agency for Jewish Education in 1997. In August of 2001 and 2006, Mrs. Matiteyahu participated in the Advanced Professional Development Institute of Project NETA at the Hebrew College in Boston, where she received a certificate for teaching the NETA Program, a new curriculum initiative in Hebrew language and culture for Jewish middle/high/day schools.
